endlich ferien! otto kann es kaum erwarten, die kommenden wochen mit seinem besten freund benjamin blümchen im neustädter zoo zu verbringen. allerdings ist seine gute laune etwas getrübt durch die sorgenfalten von zoodirektor herr tierlieb, der dringend geld für die anstehenden reparaturarbeiten im zoo benötigt. eine tombola soll’s richten! mitten in die feierlichkeiten platzt der bürgermeister von neustadt dann mit einer ankündigung: er hat die gewiefte zora zack engagiert, um den zoo zu modernisieren und zum neuen prestige-objekt von neustadt zu machen. und die emsige frau zack fackelt nicht lange: erst wickelt sie benjamin mit seinen geliebten zuckerstückchen um den finger – er soll das neue werbegesicht der kampagne werden –, dann rollen erste baukräne an. doch in wirklichkeit hat zora zack ein ganz anderes ziel… ob otto, benjamin und die anderen zoobewohner ihr rechtzeitig auf die schliche kommen, um ihre pläne zu verhindern?
