nini (flora li thiemann) und jameelah (emily kusche), 14 jahre alt und freundinnen seit ihrer kindheit, sind auf dem sprung ins leben und doch eigentlich schon mittendrin. nini, die deutsche, und jameelah mit dem irakischen pass und dem brennenden wunsch deutsche zu werden. sie sind unzertrennlich und unbesiegbar, gehen zusammen zur schule, rebellieren mal mehr und mal weniger und mixen sich in der pause ihr lieblingsgetränk auf dem klo: tigermilch, eine köstliche mischung aus milch, maracujasaft und mariacron. in den nächsten wochen soll über den einbürgerungsantrag von jameelah und ihrer mutter (narges rashidi) entschieden werden. aber erst mal ist sommer in berlin und bald ferienbeginn. die mädchen streifen durch die stadt, verlieben sich im freibad und spielen wörter knacken: nachtschicht/nacktschicht, luftschutz/lustschutz. in diesem sommer soll „es“ passieren und sie üben für den ernstfall „auf der kurfürsten“, da, wo die professionellen stehen. als sie eines nachts auf dem spielplatz der siedlung einen liebeszauber veranstalten, werden sie zeugen eines mordes. und plötzlich steht alles still – ihre pläne, ihre zukunft, ihr leben.
